Hello my dear friend, it’s Nigel your captain and coach for Flight 101, with its destination Money and Abundance. I trust that you had a great Valentine’s Day. This week, I invite you to relax and embrace the lighter side of life with a little humor and fun.
Make having fun a priority in your relationships and in your life. Having fun means different things to different people. Figure out what having fun means to you and do those things and create those experiences on a regular basis. (Extracted from my ebook 12 Secrets to Having a Romantic Relationship)
It’s often said that laughter is the best natural medicine around, and it doesn’t cost you a dime. So, why not make laughter an integral part of your relationships. Affection is demonstrated in many ways.
Here is a story of a couple who had been invited to a potluck dinner. The wife was not known for her cooking ability, but she decided to cook a custard pie. As they drove to the dinner, they knew they were in trouble, for they smelled the scorched crust. Then, when they turned the corner, the contents of the pie shifted dramatically from one side of the pie shell to the other.
When they arrived, they placed the pie on the dessert table. The guests served themselves salad and then went back for the main course. Just before they could move on to the desserts, the husband marched up to the table, looked over the number of homemade desserts and snatched up his wife’s pie. As others looked at him, he announced, “There are so many desserts here, and my wife so rarely makes my favorite dessert, I ‘m claiming this for myself. I ate light on all the other courses so now I can be a glutton.”
And a glutton he was. Later his wife said, “He sat by the door eating what he could, mushing up the rest so no one else would bug him for piece and slipping chunks to the hosts’ Rottweiler when no one was looking. He saw me looking at him and gives me a big wink. What he did made my evening. My husband, who doesn’t always say much, communicated more love with what he did than with any words he could say.” My friend, that’s love in action. What do you think?
I would love to hear from you. Send me an email or leave a comment on my website.
Until next time, make this a week one in which you are living your life to the fullest.
With appreciation and gratitude
